It is clear that only the University of Buffalo is doing CCSVI treatment research which is the only type of research we need at this time. Direct-MS will match dollar for dollar, up to $150,000, funds donated to the PREMISE trial in the next 2 months. CCSVI treatment will not be made available until such trial data are available.

Here is a comment which nicely sums up the real feelings of MSSOC regarding CCSVI.
"I attended a family function with an MSSOC ambassador. My brother asked the Ambassador his thoughts on Dr. Zamboni. This was his quoted reply "Dr Zamboni should be tied up and shot." One would assume being an ambassador that his views are in fact the views of the entire board during discussion behind closed doors.

Direct-MS is disappointed with the planned research at St Joe's in Hamilton because it is research to demonstrate that CCSVI is associated with MS. It is already established that CCSVI is associated with MS. Two years from now St Joe's will tell us what we already know. We need research which tests the effectiveness of the Liberation Treatment not research which confirms the known MS/CCSVI association.

I was most pleased to hear of another success story of CCSVI treatment for a fellow Calgarian. She recently returned from Germany and reports she is able: to walk, run, no pain, clarity of mind, fog has lifted. She looks and feels great. Sadly neurologists will dismiss her return to health as "placebo effect". If one had to choose the most self serving profession, the neurologists would win hands down.

I was not surprised when the Canadian Medical Association published an anti-CCSVI editorial in their journal (http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/rapidpdf/cmaj.100835v1?ijkey=f67a58ed77e1da08b3120ecc8e955ab3ea76af00&keytype2=tf_ipsecsha) . Notably, the editors who wrote the editorial were incredibly ignorant of the science of CCSVI and most of their comments are either erroneous and at best simplistic. Of course they followed the party line dictated by the neurologists that treatment for CCSVI has to be with
