More than 5 decades ago Dr Roy Swank, a Neurologist, proved beyond doubt that diet is a problem in MS!
Since that time (50 plus years) the same participants have been followed and each time the ones who adhered to the diet set out by Dr Swank they were also the PwMS with the most positive health outcomes.
Is that big news and important to PwMS to know?
How many studies have MS Societies undertaken or supported of diet of PwMS?
In today's World an MS Society could not only collect data on the current diets of PwMS at the same time gut micro-biome can be studied and fecal samples analysed (for minimal cost on the American Gut Biome Project).
What is the likelihood of this being done?
It might interrupt the fund raising and direct the Societies to contact all the members though! ;)
