CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis
New research from Dr. Maiken Nedergaard's Lab (discoverer of brain's (g)lymphatic cleansing system which works during sleep) The brain needs specific immune cells called microglia to repair breaks in the blood brain barrier. Could MS drugs be impairing the microglia's ability to repair a leaky BBB? A question which needs to be addressed. A new study reports microglia are responsible for maintaining and repairing the blood-brain barrier.
