CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis
New research: Repairing venous disease reduces inflammation--which can be measured by testing the blood! This is because oscillation (or back and forth, refluxive flow) damages endothelial cells which release inflammatory cytokines, and laminar flow (or smooth, one direction flow) heals endothelial cells and repairs the vessel wall. MS is an inflammatory disease, with similar inflammatory markers to venous disease. It's science. Blood flow matters. #HeartBrainConnection (thanks, Sandro!) http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27621026J Surg Res. 2016 Sep;205(1):238-45. doi: 10.1016/j.jss.2016.06.046. Epub 2016 Jun 25.
