Dr. Mark Haacke challenged Dr. Tony Traboulsee at our 2013 conference to let him reexamine the data used in this study. Dr. Haacke believes there is a significant difference between people with MS and healthy controls when variability of specific measurements is calculated.

In any case, this study SUPPORTS the theory that CCSVI is highly prevalent in persons with MS. Why angioplasty works so well and permanently for some and temporarily or not at all for others is yet to be determined.
