CCSVI Alliance is on the road again!

We are on our way to Roanoke Virginia-Carilion Center at Virgina Tech University to meet Jonathan Kipnis, PhD.. CCSVI Alliance will attend his presentation "Central Nervous System Immune Privilege Revisited". Kipnis led the research team in the recent discovery of the previously unknown lymphatic vessels in the brain — a stunning find that could have far-reaching implications for the study and treatment of neurological diseases like Alzheimers and multiple sclerosis.

Jonathan Kipnis, a newly appointed Gutenberg Fellow of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), will hold this post in addition to his position as Director of the Center for Brain Immunology and Glia (BIG), University of Virginia, establishing a laboratory here to conduct a cutting-edge research in neuro-immune interactions in neurodegenerative, mental, cognitive and neurodevelopmental disorders.

The research project will focus on understanding the role of meningeal lymphatic vessels in initiation, progression and severity of animal models of Multiple Sclerosis.
