Professor E. Mark Haacke is a neuro-imaging scientist at McMaster University and Wayne State University in Detroit. He has long been seeing iron deposits in the brains of MS patients using a specialised MRI analysis called SWI (specific weighted imaging). When he saw Zamboni's initial publications, he immediately contacted the Italian doctor and began collaborating. His research interests include: MR angiography, SWI to study vascular disease, stroke imaging, better detection of cancer and brain function. He supervises graduate students in medical physics and he works with others to enhance current clinical methods to take research ideas into the clinical realm.? Dear Tom, Thank you for setting up this meeting and making it possible for me to attend. It was really just perfect for what you had planned and you must be very pleased at the turn out and how it turned out. With best wishes.
