Was scanned (fmri) at Hubbard Foundation (San Diego) recently and referred to Minimally Invasive Therapies at Del Mar Vein Care (Del Mar) for the procedure.

I had the CCSVI treatment on 10/19. Very pleased with doctor, caring staff and clinic. They are doing 2-3/day and, as of 10/19, I was told that they had done about 70. They have 3 doctors available to do the procedure.

I have noticed some improvement in flow of speech, balance, energy and vision after the first 6 days. I've had MS (it's now SPMS) for 21 years and can't live independently. I didn't expect (but hoped for) significant initial improvements but rather the gradual improvements which I'm experiencing. Time will tell if any of the improvement is due to the placebo effect -- I think not.

The venogram & CCSVI procedure took about 1 hour. With paperwork, very informative info from doctor, the procedure, and 4 hour recovery, it took about 6-7 hours. The Del Mar location is great -- many small shops, eating places and an ocean view.

Since I live 20-30 minutes away from both locations, I was home in time for dinner.

I was also told that they will do followup treatments, even if the initial treatment was done elsewhere.
