Please do your research on the doctor you are going to go to for angioplasty. You want a doctor that practices interventional radiology on a daily basis, one who was specifically trained for it and specializing in venous disease.

Although there are many vascular surgeons trained to do the interventional procedure this isn't the bulk of their practice and may not have enough practice to preform this procedure competently.

I have numerous reports about the following dr, that he is not just charging exhorbant amounts for the procedure he is forcing patients to have one vein done at a time and coming back in a month to have another vein done. That is not necessary or doing what is best for the patient. It is an invasive procedure that should not be done more than needed. It has been reported that he can't find the azygos and has told a patient that some people don't have one. He's reportedly not been able to find a left jugular vein. Patients going to him have reported back with adverse side effects and worsening of disease symptoms.
