Frances Bowler and her niece Lori Karnes of Saskatoon Sask returned from Merida Mexico last week. Fran had the treatment procedure done on October 25th. They arrived on Saturday and were to have pre-op on Monday and the procedure on Tuesday. Both were done on the Monday. On their flight down Fran was treated very very good. From Calgary to Houston they were even bumped up to first class. Coming home via Toronto was also good.

Fran's procedure took two hours. Right jugular treated in a couple of areas, Left jugular was very narrow but not blocked. They opened it all the way down and the doctor said their was movement. The procedure went well. They were treated really good at the hospital and the hotel across the street. Lori can communicate in Spanish a little so that really helped.

The doctors did speak English, which really helped. After the procedure her hands and feet were a little warmer, her eyes bigger and her face brighter.

Now that she is home I can not really see any change in her. Walking has not improved.

The doctor told them it would take two to three months. We are in the process of getting her into physio. I guess we will have to be patient and wait and see.
