Karen Copeland commented I join Dina in saying, "I will NEVER give to the MS Society ". I disagree that they do help MS sufferers. Name one

thing they have done for any of us. They collect money in the form of

grants, they take donations, the menial work in doing this is not paid

for but is done by people, very often MSers, working for nothing a

volunteers. In my opinion they are nothing but arrogant, self centered

rip-off artists with zero sense of moral or ethically correct behaviour.

If you want to give your money to someone who will truly appreciate it,
give to the Angioplasty for all group who are going to court to try to

get the procedure admitted here.

There are individuals collecting donations to help them get to a clinic
outside of the country if you are Canadian. Here is one in Barrhaven,

Ontario http://ccsvi-ms.ning.com/profiles/blogs/my-second-news-paper-article?commentId=5297960%3AComment%3A44875&xg_source=msg_com_blogpost or here is a lady in Michigan who cannot afford it and her son is trying to get the money on the internet. http://funds.gofundme.com/15434.

Your money to any of these would be really helping an MSer. I have not

been able to find one person who has taken the drugs pushed by the MS

Society who has ever gotten any relief but I can find people who got

worse on their drugs.

You say, “I am sure that those not allowing this

procedure to be done on MS patients here in Canada feel that their side
of the story is right.” The trouble with this statement is that we have
heard their side of the story. Actually we have heard several versions

of their story. They have a few things in common. They are totally

unfounded. They are totally illogical. They all use scare tactics – well

they try. Obviously, judging from the numbers who have already left the

country to get this procedure and all those on waiting lists, it has

not had the desired effect.

I do agree with you that the procedure needs to be done right here in
Canada and I have and will continue to write politicians, both Federal

and Provincial.

Do take a look at the links and maybe rethink the direction of your donations.
