I just got off the phone with my Neuro's nurse, she told me that she wishes the press would report the negative things as well as the positive. I asked her what she meant because I thought they were doing a pretty good job dispelling CCSVI. She told me that there are several patients from my clinic that have been treated and have also had complications, for example she told of one person that is in the hospital right now because the person had a stroke I asked her why no one has come out with this story and she said that the clinic can't because of confidentiality. I don't know what to think now, I am so confused I understand that they can't give out the name of the person but you would think they could release the information. Also she did admit that a Neuro cannot offer follow up care only a vascular doctor can, I asked if I would be able to be referred to one when I get back and she said no it is not the Neuro's job it is up to my GP to do that. (talk about passing the buck) Now I am a bit more nervous then I was before, is this fear mongering or are they telling the truth??? Why do these people even want to be involved in this type of medicine if they can't even refer me to the proper doctor, Canadian Government needs to pay attention to what these people are actually saying, they are saying that it is something they know nothing about so why in the world would anyone take their advice. Please let me know if there are many stats for stroke and heart problems with this treatment. I have done extensive research and I could only find 3 cases of issues that hit the news.
