Thank you everyone for your informative and encouraging comments. Bob does have a referral from the Toronto Imaging Centre and I will follow up and make sure he is tested there too.

I will also look into getting him tested by Dr. Sandy MacDonald in Barrie.

Where does he obtain a venogram? Should we forward his reports/disks from Buffalo to Dr. Hacke. I think he is in Hamilton?

Bob has had secondary progressive MS for about 28 years. He is 67 now and these past 2 years he has been totally in a wheelchair. He has no balance now and his left leg is very weak. He still has upper body strength and can pull himself up using a sesca pole or a railing, but then he is only able to stand for 30 sec. max. He has a tremor in his right hand and it can produce spasms. He has nostagmus in his optic nerve and now cannot read because everything jumps around. He is very fatigued and must rest at least 4 times each day. His mind is still excellent although his short term memory is not great. We now have a live-in caregiver for him who is very helpful and kind.

We will continue to look into this diagnosis. Thank you Everyone for your support.
