Arrived home late last night to the freezing weather! My trip to Egypt was fabulous... I immediately had more energy and NO fatigue whatsoever. I immediately got feeling back in my hand and totally lost the electric shock down one side of my body when I moved my neck. Luckily I didnt have some of the symptoms that some of you have with sight, hearing, brain fog. Dr Tariq is great and explained to me that symptoms above the waist tend to disappear quickly but balance and walking may take up to 3 months but have to say that although I couldnt get up and walk for miles I have so much energy its certainly making that more of a possibility! My symptoms didnt appear overnight so they wont disappear overnight either but feel so damn cheerful and so awake! Egypt was great and the people from the airport to the hospital and all inbetween were absolutely lovely. Only complaint was the race track that is Alexandria! Dr Tariq and his team were an absolute joy and I felt very safe in their hands. They had to use a cutting balloon on the left side which is why they kept me in overnight but even the food in the hospital was good. Certainly put the NHS to shame when it came to the manner inn which you are treated and the cleanliness.... NHS could sure learn some lessons from the Egyptians! Met some fellow patients and all have seen improvements of varying degrees but Dr Tariq did tell me that the younger patients with more recent diagnosis have the most marked immediate improvements. This needs to me made available NOW to newly diagnosed patients and those of us who have been diagnosed a while. And... just noticed another improvement... typing quicker and easier !!! x x x
