What is the Relationship between MS and CCSVI?In early studies of persons with multiple sclerosis compared with healthy subjects, all of the MS patients exhibited some evidence of venous insufficiency. In contrast, all the healthy subjects showed no signs of insufficiency. In addition, the studies demonstrated that the particular form of MS was in fact connected to the way the alternative blood vessels were configured. One type of pattern was revealed in patients who had relapsing remittance MS and secondary progressive MS. Patients who had primary progressive MS demonstrated a differently defined pattern.
