Hi Everyone: In the past 2 weeks I have been doing a lot of research and just plain thinking, about all of this CCSVI and MS and Angioplasty for all concerns. I am a little bit overwhelmed by it all, and despite all of this, the path to success for us seems to be getting clearer to me.

I have been juggling AFA , and the Provincial government, and painting the house(inside). I will now try to share some of this juggling with all of you. Please remember that I am just another MS Patient who is trying to help other MS Patients. I am feeling very well, and to prove it I can honestly say that I would have not had the energy or cognitive ability to carry this forward unless I had the Angioplasty procedure in August. I hear from a few people that they did not receive as much improvement as others. May I stress here that if this Angioplasty procedure only stops the progression of this disease, then that is a Miracle!!! It is a whole lot more than we ever had . Any other improvements become a Huge Bonus. I have received many bonuses!

Diana and I spoke with Edward Conway today to get an update on the legal challenge. I would love to say that we are filing our case tomorrow or the next day but I cannot. We have a very strong case and Diana, Edward and I believe we will win!! We are in need of funds to retain our expert witnesses. This is money needed for travel and medical opinions that must come from our expert witnesses. We are planning for four of them. We do not need it all at once but before we file we need to be assured that we can cover these costs.

Here is an excerpt of an email from Edward Conway!

Following our web-presentations of November 26th, AFA advised that we are ready to file the litigation in the Superior Court of Ontario. We are in consultation with experts in neurology, interventional radiology and vascular surgery to develop supporting materials for the filing. Once the expert assistance is in place, we will file our materials and bring the issue to the sought-for resolution under section 15 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms

AFA needs your help. We need your help to retain experts. We have the experts we need. We need the money to pay them. We are budgetting for 4 experts. we think we need $20,000 per expert. The AFA donor community has been great over the last five months raising monies. The litigation requires a continuing donor effort. In particular, we want donors to help with the experts. We think this is the most effective way to bring CCSVI angioplasty to Ontario and to Canada. Please donate soon.

I do not want to put any more financial pressure on anyone so do only what you can.. Diana and I are looking at 2 major ideas for fundraising, that we are excited about. This planning takes time and a lot of people are asking when are we going to file? We can file next week if we have the funding in place. So until we are assured of the finances we will hold off filing. I personally feel it can be soon, but I am hesitating to give a date as this just causes confusion if we need to wait a little. I would rather wait and do this right, still keeping in mind that so many are still suffering terribly with MS and CCSVI.

Fundraiser Thoughts;

I would like to share an idea with all of you. I would be willing to travel across Canada starting in the New Year to Promote CCSVI and AFA to as many groups as I can. I have done this in New Brunswick and with much success. I feel the need to share Angioplasty For All with as many as I can and maybe support will come from other sectors. i.e. Business, Clubs, Unions,etc. We are actively fulfilling requirements for Charitable Status.

If you think you can be of assistance in organizing your town or City please email me or call me at 506-474-2678. I will look at all possibilities and will act on the results. I made a decision on July 2nd in Toronto to see this through and we at AFA are going to do just that!!!

Just as I didn’t know what would happen July 2nd in Toronto, I don’t know what will happen with this plan. We will never know unless we try!! Just as Dr. Zamboni didn’t know until he tried. I am sure happy that he did.
