I got MS 2 mos. after my 2nd son was born in Apri 24, 1974. So 37 1/2 yrs., and the CCSVI gave me back 4 of my 5 "WANTS": reading with 2 eyes from Nystagmus, a normal bladder, sleep (more than 2 hrs. a night), and warm feet. I had my procedure in Atlanta, GA, on 10/28/10. All "WANTS" were realized immediately that day. My want of walking is another problem with the brain or spine: after finding out that all peripheral nerves of the R. leg are working perfectly, and the Dr. said the problem was originating in the CNS. Trying to find that problem now. I haven't walked in 23 yrs., live in a scooter, with perfect use of hands and upper body everything but the R. leg. Always thought it was the MS, but NOT (??). I am walking with walker and AFO, just to exercise. Been swimming 19 years, 40 laps a day (normally 5 days a wk.) and the R. leg really has never moved, just drags behind. Loved having the CCSVI and getting my 4 "wants." Now, it is Day 47 and would go back if I restenosed to redo all. Just the bladder and sleep were totally worth my gain.
