MyLabVinco: the only product designed for the diagnosis of CCSVI.

CCSVI is a medical condition where deoxygenated blood flow from the veins surrounding the brain and spine is slowed or blocked in its return to the heart. This condition arises mainly from blockage in the internal jugular and/or azygos veins. The discovering of the new syndrome has been made by Prof. Paolo Zamboni and published in 2009 on the “Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry”, ed. 80, pp. 392-399

Prof. Paolo Zamboni is the Director of the Centre for Vascular Diseases at the University of Ferrara (Ferrara - Italy). In his studies, he came upon a unique situation to MS patients: a reflux of their brain/spinal blood. In this Study 65 clinically defined MS patients and 235 controls (including healthy patients and those with other neurological disorders), blindly underwent a combined transcranial and extracranial Color-Doppler high-resolution examination (TCCS-ECD) aimed at detecting at least two of five parameters of anomalous venous outflow. The Conclusion of Professor Zamboni’s studies is that CCSVI is a scenario that has not previously been described, characterized by abnormal venous hemodynamic determined by extracranial multiple venous strictures of unknown origin. The location of venous obstructions plays a key role in determining the clinical course of the disease.
