My IR finally has granted permission to share his name/institution. He's in Ann Arbor, MI. If your insurance will cover you at UofM Hospital, AND you have a neurologist who supports you and is willing to be a partner in this treatment (prescribe a thorough baseline MRI and do a thorough clinical exam), let me know. I don't want his office to get overwhelmed with calls from folks who don't meet these conditions, but am happy to pass on his name to those that do.

He says:

"I think there is no point in my being anonymous. My current stance on this is, I suppose, skeptical and subdued optimism. Thus, I don't represent myself as an advocate of the procedure, but I am willing to do a few more anatomically appropriate patients after they have been screened by their neurologist and gotten an MRI. Once I have done half a dozen patient and have a sense for the "lay of the land", we will step back for a month or two as we try to set up a standardized protocol for evaluation and treatment."
