_________________________________________________________

Since the MS Society of Canada gave a generous amount of $ 700,000 ($ 350,000 per year) to the CCSVI Study Grants, we were thinking that it would be interesting to publish a list of all of the expenses that surpass that amount, to bring out the actual priorities of the Society that is supposed to represent all MS patients nationally.

LINE 4800 Advertising and Promotion $ 4,623,235

CCSVI Research $ 350,000 One year

The MS Society of Canada spent $ 4,273,235 more on Advertising and promotion in one year than they will spend on funding for CCSVI research.

.................................................

LINE 4840 Office supplies and expenses $ 4,230,996

The MS Society of Canada spent $ 3,880,996 more on Office supplies and expenses in one year than they will spend on funding for CCSVI research.

.................................................

LINE 4860 Professional and Consulting Fees $ 3,436,548

The MS Society of Canada spent $ 3,086,548 more on Professional and Consulting Fees in one year than they will spend on funding for CCSVI research.

.................................................

LINE 4880 Total expenditure on Compensation $ 3,373,307

The MS Society of Canada spent $ 3,023,307 more on Compensation in one year than they will spend on funding for CCSVI research.

..............................................

LINE 4910 Total expenditure on Research programs $ 7,739,998

Considering that the MS Society of Canada spent almost $ 8,000,000 on research from September 1, 2008 to August 31, 2009, it is unthinkable that they have only earmarked $ 350,000 per year to fund research for CCSVI.

Also, they say that they have voted unanimously to SET ASIDE $ 1,000,000 IF....AND ONLY IF....THEIR research shows that the link exists........

Well, $ 1,000,000 in research.......

My questions are :

1. Over how many years will this amount be alloted ? If it`s over 5 years, that`s only $ 200,000 per year....even less than the amount that they`ve allotted for the present studies.

2. How can the MS Society of Canada justify setting aside only $ 1,000,000, when this is

- 22% of what they spent on Advertising and promotion in one year ?
- 24% of what they spent on Office Supplies and expenses in one year ?
- 29% of what they spent on Professional and Consulting fees in one year ?
- 30% of what they spent on Compensation in one year ?
- 13% of what they spent on Research projects in one year ?

DON`T FOOL YOURSELVES....CCSVI RESEARCH IS NOT PART OF THE PRIORITIES FOR THE MS SOCIETY OF CANADA.

Their priorities are clearly :

- Advertising, promotion, Office supplies, Professional and Consulting fees, Compensation to their employees, and Research that does not include CCSVI.
