I met with a Yoga person today. I was not aiming for Yoga, rather meditation. She talked to me about my breathing. She suggested that I use a metronome to help remind me how to breathe. Smoother breaths as they can recharge the body by bringing in fresh oxygen and exhaling. Meditation would help me because my kids can really push my "Buttons." Through meditaition it is my goal to be more relaxed and prevent exacerbations of ms. An interesting suggestion is to do my breathing exercises in a stiff chair, rather than a laz-y-boy. Helps you breathe better. Lastly, she suggested a CD by Belleruth Naparstek . The CD uses visualization to help us with our MS and give us a calmer outlook for all afflicted with MS. The link is https://www.healthjourneys.com/archivesSingle.asp?aid=1810&cid=21. This is not an endorsement, rather a way others have had a better life through listening and visualization. Any ideas or feedback? Thank you all for your reading and feedback.
