Customized car tags can be fun.  My license plate says "ILUVTV."  With MS, this is even more important.

Television does give me a lifeline to the outside that my legs often prevent me from enjoying.  While I can walk, the range is frustratingly limited.

Do I get a mega home theater? No.  I do fine with the TV sound.  I just want to enjoy that which I can.  Sports, movies and news are my viewing.  All 3 keep my brain engaged.   i have also taken to podcasts and my mp3 player.  I have music on my MP3, but I listen to sports talk, comedy and things that engage me.  The stuff might outrage me, but my brain is challenged.

I love books, but I am enjoying them less now than I used to.  I try to read a book month.  Less than ideal, but my brain remains engaged.

My biggest outlet is my computer.  I had a Dell, and a friend gave me a Mac.  I find the mac to be good, and a challenge because I speak PC.  The Mac's biggest feature came from a preCCSVI need:  I talk, it types.  The program does work, but I prefer to engage my fingers rather than my voice.  The brain thinks, I type.  When I use the program.  I talk, it types, then I edit.  The process hurts flow of ideas, and I need to do a verbal "vomit" to get my ideas on screen.  I have lost ideas during the edits because I like to have everything correct while I enter ideas, then fix the ideas during the edit process.

I am also a radio guy.  Sports talk, news NPR, and conservative talk.  Keep the brain running.

As I review this posting, I think the main focus is the brain.  Sports keeps me rooting.  I play fantasy sports to keep myself engaged.  I do not speak hockey, but next year I will do fantasy hockey to learn something new.

Brain engage again.  I follow politics to make the brain work.  Why does the politician think that?  Can I give an answer?  Does that work?

MS is not in national politics enough to have any notice.  The strange thing is that Michele Obama's dad had MS.  Why is she not pushing for CCSVI?  Not enough people have MS to move the meter.  Again, Brain stays engaged to fight the fights without the stress of getting upset.

Good luck, stay engaged and focused.
