Hi all! Just wanted to share with you that I have gone for my second CCSVI Treatment. This time it was with Dr. Arata @ the Pacific Interventionalists in California. This time all 3 veins were ballooned whereas only my left vein was worked on in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Dr. Arata's philosphy is the valves are the culprit. He ballooned both valves in my jugulars with more force to get them out of the way and told me that I would hear a popping sound when this happens. I did indeed hear the popping sound. Since then, I have been feeling stronger. I was able to walk the 9 rows on and off the plane coming back home. Prior to that my wife had to assist me on the plane. Headaches are gone and I no longer choke while eating. I am now following Dr. Bill Code's anit-inflammatory regime following the procedure. Dr. Arata and the staff with Pacific Interventionalists were awesome! After our consult with Dr. Arata my wife and I felt very confident that he could help me. The staff made me & my wife feel very comfortable. They were top notch! We stayed at the Hyatt and totally enjoyed our stay. Fly GTE was quite expensive (travel company affiliated with Pacific Interventionalists). We used them as we didn't want the hassle of driving in California. Our driver, Alex, was extremely friendly and both myself and my wife felt comfortable with him immediately. Marvin, who set everything up for us was very professional and we also felt confident in him. The costs: I didn't need the testing as I had a copy of the venogram from Mexico and Dr. Arata could determine treatment from that so it cost us $8000.00. If testing is required, the cost is $2500.00. Fly GTE costs $750.00. Our hotel was $123/night plus the cost of our airfare and meals.
