Modern-day heros. Fighting for CCSVI treatment for all. Fighting for the truth. - WaYnE Kirsty Duncan - Liberal MP for Etobicoke North (Ontario) Multiple sclerosis. It is a devastating disease that affects between 55,000 and 75,000 Canadians. People living with MS are being treated differently in Canada than in the United States. In the U.S. it is perceived as a presumptive illness. Will the minister be taking action? Mario Silva - Liberal MP for Davenport (Ontario) Mr. Speaker, I have three petitions. The first petition is from Canadians in my riding of Davenport and around Toronto who are concerned about Canadians who have multiplesclerosis who are being denied the right to be tested and treated for CCSVI. The petitions are calling. Denise Savoie - NDP MP for Victoria (BC) Mr. Speaker, I have a third petition signed by 70 of my constituents who are asking the government to accelerate the efforts to make the CCSVI treatment available to Canadians suffering from multiple sclerosis. http://www.facebook.com/notes/ccsvi-in-ms-toronto/kirsty-duncan-mario-silva-denise-savoie-ccsvi-on-parliament-hill-february-7-2011/10150131026529919
