Well, I've had the procedure twice now, but it's been 6 months and I am not doing nearly so well as I was.

Unforunately a lot of my symptoms have come back-I limp, have poor balance, difficulty walking, loss of fine motor control in right hand which makes it hard to write, little stamina, cog fog, and newly, trouble speaking.  However, one old symptom has not returned, that of choking on food and especially drink. Or headaches, for that matter.

I am one of those whose entire right side is affected.  Like there is a line right down the middle, though now the problems are creeping over to the left, my "good" side.

I had hoped that two times would be sufficient.  However, what I am discovering is that we who were early patients were often undertreated.  There are veins that can be checked besides the IJV's and azygous, and also any malformed or malfunctioning valves should be removed.

However, I was fairly paranoid about what Dr to use.  I ended up doing a lot of research and found a Dr with experience on re-doing treatment on people who had had it before, especially out of the country.  He is in the US, as am I.

So now I have dates set March 23 for consultation, March 24 for procedure, March 25th for follow up.

It's at Newport Beach, Pacific Interventionalists.  They said I could go sooner with a different doc because they have a lot.  I'm sure they are all good.  But I am way to freaked out about the whole thing to use any doc but the one I researched.

So maybe I'll get a stent this time, or whatever I need.  But I'm keeping after it.
