James did it.  Good for him.

We met via telephone at the request of my surgeon.  I was his first person outside of the medical field to have a human voice conversation about CCSVI.  My advice to him was to see my surgeon because I know him and believe in his team.  He mentioned he was considering an alternative location for the procedure.

Saying I don't care does not reflect my feelings.  I respect my doctor very much, but I am here to help.  I advised and discussed and suggested that if he could get it done, DO IT!

James called me today.  He got the CCSVI procedure done Friday.   He did it at a different doctor from mine.

"I don't care," I responded.  "The point is that you went and got the procedure.  How are you feeling?"

"I feel woowzy, tired.  Ya know, kinda out of it," he told me.

"Any changes" I asked.  The killer question for all of us.  It needs to be asked.  The reality is a "check with me" because some feel better than others and some feel nothing at all.

"I am walking better," he told me.  "I mean I drove there and."

"You what?  You drove to a procedure.  That is atleast a 2 hour drive.  You say I am crazy,"  I told him with a smile on my face.

"Yea, I drove.  And I just feel better," he said smiling over the phone.  "And they gave me a DVD.  I had 60% blockages in my right juggular."

"Great," I said.  "Now rest, drink fluids, rest.  I am going to repeat myself because many who have gotten this felt great and overdid it.  Were you awake during the procedure?"

"Well, I was kinda groggy," he responded.

"James, I am thrilled you got it done.  Now go rest.  Talk to you later," I said trying to end the call so he would rest.

"Alright, I gotta call my mom," he said.  "By the way, can I call you Monday?" he asked.

"Yes, of course," I told him calmly.  "Now go rest and drink.  Good night."

Let's look at what we have done.  We have helped a person who is better off walking in than I was and now he seems improved beyond.  That is fantastic if I am reading the tea leaves correctly.

I also told him to remember that he is not bulletproof and to take it easy.  He told me the doctors told him that.  I told him to take it easy becuase he might push himself just to test limits.

So I feel we did a good thing.  Good advice I pray. Perhaps I helped.

I think so.

Networking in the old world.  One person asks another to call and discuss.  We did.

Thanks to all of you for your input.

And, Happy Mardi Gras!
