My first contact with World Med Assist was a positive stage in my search for help finding relief from the MS I’ve lived with all my life. Jean Deguzman was my spokesperson to take my case to the team of doctors I was to meet. My travel arrangements were made easily with the knowledge and aide of Jo-Anne Hall. Both of these women were encouraging, patient and most understanding. Our flights into Merida were long. We live in the Pacific Northwest in an isolated area so going to the urban centers wasn’t the normal for either myself or my husband. I do suggest that when traveling for medical reasons asking for wheel chair assistance is a wise choice… no stress, no waits and preference as to boarding and departing. All things to make the adventure more enjoyable.

Upon arrival to Merida we were met by a lovely young man with a sign showing my name; he made our transport to the hotel easy and comfortable. The hotel is lovely, clean, modern, bright, air-conditioned and well staffed by cheerful helpful people. Our room was kept spotless and refreshed daily making the simple comforts of a home away from home real. Our advocate that helped with admissions, appointments, finding the where’s and when’s is a beautiful energetic and punctual young woman. She made communicating with the various aspects of the medical journey doable for me as my Spanish is almost non existent. The Doctors and technicians I dealt with were professional warm, caring folks.

The treatment I received was as easy and painless as I ever could have dreamed, and upon waking I felt I was dreaming. My life has changed so remarkably with the angioplasty that I’m at a loss to find the words to say Thank You to all the good and kind souls who helped me regain my life and passions.

My experience has been so positive that I am recommending this group to all who seek relief; grab that brass ring and run with it.
