Ok, so today I start Retuxin.  Or something similar to that.

It works out to Chemotherapy.  I have read the side effects and this is chemo.

Started the day up at 5:30 am.  Shower.  Got tired, but got clean. Got dressed.

Wife made me breakfast and lunch to go.  She was upset she could not be nearer to me with this new medicine, but she had to get out of town for school.

The procedure was going to take about six hours including various side drugs.

I am not driving, so I got the parish to help.  In Louisiana, we call counties a Parish.  Goes back to us being very Catholic based as a terriroy from the French and Spanish.  We have no public transportation here, and this service will pick me up in the wheelchair and take me to the hospital.

And they arrived on time.

My wife left early, offered me house keys and my cane.

I declined.  I was going to have everything go as plan.  Procedure at 9 am.  Takes 5-6 hours.  I had my MP3.  I was ready.

The transport arrived and all was great.

I arrived an hour early, but this was just fine.

I checked in and all was well.

I started reading and waited.  Then I heard my name.  This was too soon.  What could be happening?

I acknowledged my name.  The nurse walked up and said nothing was going to happen today. My insurance was not approving the new drug.  The doctor knew and no one called me.

What?  I have arranged pickup and drop off and everything was not going to happen?

No.  The doctor's office called and told me it was not going to happen today.  And they knew?  Why not call me yesterday and tell me?

So now I had to arrange for pickup 6 hours early.

And I worked it out.

If I was into karma, I could almost call this a sign I was not supposed to have this drug.

We shall see.

God Bless everyone.

I pray for a cure for all of us.
