On May 30, 2011 I had my venoplasty performed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

The results were 4 blockages in 3 veins - the azygos vein had TWO blockages, both from membranes crossing inside the vein.  The right and left jugular veins were blocked by faulty valves; the left side so bad that the catheter could barely enter it and when injected, the dye pooled in the dialated section above the valve and did not advance!   All blockages were successfully treated with a size 18 balloon.

Back home now and seeing improvements each day.  My strength is returning in my lower body, I am sleeping better at night, my brain fog has lifted, my speech and memory clear.  Yesterday I was out for the first time without my walker, just the cane.  Still pins and needles in my hands and feet but am hoping with time, they too shall pass.  Physio was advised in Mexico to regain lost ground in my legs.  Will start that soon but am walking daily now.

I feel like I have a new lease on life and am looking forward to what tomorrow may hold!  God is good!
