JUST A LITTLE ABOUT ME. I HAVE MS. I AM BLESSED. I FOUND DR. SCLAFANI AND MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVERED THE TESTS AND THE PROCEDURE, TWICE.
HOWEVER, THE PERSON WHO INSISTED THAT I LOOK INTO AND RESEARCH CCSVI AND WENT WITH ME FOR TESTING CANNOT GET THE PROCEDURE BECAUSE HIS INSURANCE COMPANY WOULD NOT COVER HIM.
That is when I realized that something had to be done to raise funds to help ONE PERSON AT A TIME to have the CCSVI procedure done for them as well.
I am starting out with a Thrift Store where I hope to raise enough money to help patients receive CCSVI Treatment(s).
We are setting up a Board of Trustees that must have Dr's as well as patients who have had the procedure performed. There is a need for a lawyer, with expertise in Corporate Law.
I am located on Long Island, so if anyone knows of a location that can be used to start this project, please respond.
I have received a great amount of interest from people willing to donate furniture, sports memorabilia, clothing, computers and much more. A house on a main road would be optimal.
Volunteers will work the store.
In February of 2012, we will be having a Fundraiser in addition to The Thrift Shoppe. I will notify everyone with a blog.
I look forward to hearing from those of you who want to donate items or from those who want to donate to help another MS'er have the chance that I was given.
After I had the CCSVI procedure burning pain is gone, cog-fog lifted, my sight is not blurry, my legs don't feel like I am lifting hundreds of pounds with each step and my favorite, FATIGUE IS LIFTED. I go to a high pressured job I am performing like I did prior to my first symptoms of MS.
I believe everyone's insurance company should be covering this much needed procedure. BUT UNTIL THEN PLEASE JOIN AND HELP ME TO HELP ONE PERSON AT A TIME. I thank you. I want to wish everyone a Happy Holiday. Together we can help each other.
I will advertise The Thrift Shoppe and requests for items to be donated in local Newspapers.
