In Milan, Italy, the CCSVI in MS Society and Lowe Pirella Fronzoni advertising group have been sued by the Italian MS Society for the advertising campaign of the Brave Dreams study.  The MS Society actually took the CCSVI non-profit group to court.  Because their ad was too successful in raising funds.

Here is the advertising campaign which is in contention:

---Unbelievable!!  The judge has asked the two groups to settle amicably, the court reconvenes on June 19.  Is this what we have come to?  MS Societies suing CCSVI organizations for compelling advertising?  Here's the link to the CCSVI in MS group in Italy, translated by google.

How can a group, like the Italian MS Society, work against research that might benefit people with MS?  Isn't the goal of understanding MS and the disease mechanism the GOAL of all of us???  How can the Italian MS Society use MONEY collected from pwMS to work against their own best interests?  Because they are upset that the Brave Dreams study garnered funding from goverments and individuals??

The Italian MS Society refused to fund Brave Dreams, and instead, gave millions to Dr. Giancarlo Comi, a neurologist, to conduct his own studies...without utilizing Dr. Zamboni's specific doppler US protocol.  The Cosmo study is not finding CCSVI in any participants, and Dr. Comi was very vocal regarding his disdain for Dr. Zamboni.  But the Italian press brought up conflicts of interest in Dr. Comi's studies--since he is very heavily involved and compensated in pharmaceutical research (which uses the EAE/autoimmune mouse model of MS.)

If our Italian friends would like to comment on this note, please let us know how we can help.

Research into the vascular connection to MS must be studied in blinded and controlled treatment studies like Brave Dreams.

The brain does not exist on its own, apart from the rest of the body.

It is connected to the heart, via cerebral blood flow, perfusion, arterial input and venous return.

If we do not study this connection, we are denying science and research.
