Statement by Liberal Leader Bob Rae on the Pioneer in Healthcare Policy Award

OTTAWA– Liberal Leader Bob Rae made the following statement on Dr. Kirsty Duncan receiving the Pioneer in Healthcare Policy Award:

“I would like to congratulate my caucus colleague and friend, Dr. Kirsty Duncan, for being awarded the Pioneer in Healthcare Policy Award by the Society for Brain Mapping & Therapeutics.

This award pays tribute to lawmakers around the world whose visionary policies have contributed to the advancement of science, technology and medicine. Dr. Duncan’s extensive work advocating for better research, healthcare delivery and global collaboration in the area of neurological disorders has lead to her being recognized as ‘one of the best advocates of brain research in Canada.’

On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, and our parliamentary caucus, I again extend my most heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Duncan on receiving this prestigious award and thank her for her continued valuable contribution to our caucus and to Parliament.”
