The immune system is involved in the degeneration of myelin even if it is not the cause of the MS symptoms, so maybe there is a role for this innovation in the treatment of MS even if it is not a cure. I could be that it is less lethal than some drugs currently being recommended, as it only controls inflammation at a local level and specifically for myelin.
