MEDICAL MARIJUANA AND MS - one patient's story. Via CCSVI Brockville From Sebastien Gishin Cyr: · I never taught I would have to spend time and energy in having to deal with such blindness, stupidity and blatant disregard for the well being of a patient. So here goes my story. I am 39 years old and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008. From the beginning the activity of the sickness was very present to a point where with my family we even considered euthanasia. But before throwing the towel we heard of the medical marijuana program and applied for a license with my neurologist who had to be submit the required form for approval to health Canada in which he had to declare that the available conventional treatments did not produce any positive results or were too dangerous therefore he requested for a medical marijuana license which I have been renewing with him for 4 years now. Since the beginning of my marijuana treatment I went from being in pain all the time to having such a quality of life that I am now taking no more medications except medical marijuana. My quality of life was so improved I started to gradually do physical training and with time went from 250lbs down to 170lbs in very outstanding physical shape. Each year my neurologist renewed the license but this year he refused based on some hearsay that the College des medecins du Quebec was telling him they were forbidden to renew my prescription. I obtained the guideline documentation from the college and it is quite confusing and tends towards negativity in not prescribing but the fact is that when the reader takes the time to read through it properly there is no indication that he cannot prescribe it to me. So he basically denied me that right based on their fear mongering propaganda. I confronted him and his refusal was only based on their wrongful erroneous views and never my well being was considered so now when my prescription expires I will have no medication and would have to start taking a plethora of medications that come with many side effects with not much relief as a matter of fact the effect does not come close to how Marijuana helps me. At this point all I have left is to take legal action against him for failing to provide medical assistance to a patient that was stable and greatly helped by his marijuana treatment. He will also be suing him for emotional distress caused by such political games that a patient should never be subjected when we tell him the treatment that greatly improved his life will be removed while at the same time in all other provinces prescriptions are being written on a daily basis directed to the now 12 approved legal producers. The Canadian government has legalized the substance for medical use yet the Quebec college of physician is doing its best to confuse, scare and bully physician creating stories like mine."
