Thank you Joan Beal -

Dr. John Cooke, now head of the regenerative cell dept. at Houston Methodist, reports success in transforming human scar cells into healthy endothelial cells, which may lead to a new way to repair damaged tissue. The study ("Transdifferentiation of Human Fibroblasts to Endothelial Cells: Role of Innate Immunity"), published in an upcoming issue of Circulation, describes a technique that appeared to improve blood flow, oxygenation, and nutrition to areas in need. Dr. Zamboni has found that pwMS are missing healthy endothelial cells in their jugular veins and valves. This new discovery may be the solution. (Dr. Cooke was the specialist at Stanford who responded to my inquiries about the endothelial connection to MS back in 2008, and eventually helped us get Jeff treated for CCSVI in '09. )
