MRI Contrast Agent Linked to Brain Abnormalities - via CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis. Thanks to Dr. Sclafani for linking--new research shows a connection between the number of gadolinium contrast MRIs administered and future brain abnormalities-which may indicate gadolinium (a chelated heavy metal) stays in the brain tissue. Please discuss with your neuro, if you have regular MRIs with contrast. It may be the dye, not MS disease progression, causing your MRI irregularities. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/818077
