Breakdown of the blood brain barrier is linked to damaged pericyte cells. Protein called platelet-derived growth factor beta is shed when pericyte cells are exposed to lack of oxygen. CCSVI Alliance asks ,"Could this be from slowed cerebral perfusion - hypoxia?"
