Dr. Zamboni replies to a study showing ligation of jugular veins in mice does not cause demyelination. What the researchers fail to highlight, is that jugular ligation causes hypoperfusion, or slowed blood thru the brain. Thanks to Dr. Zamboni for pointing this out--a lifetime of hypoperfusion in upright humans is not the same as 4 months in a rat. Bloodflow matters.
