Great write up from Anne Kingston on the horrible new "Fight or Flight" campaign from the Canadian MS Society. Here's a thought --instead of scaring patients, why not help them take care of the environmental factors we know, through scientific research, are related to faster MS progression? These factors include smoking, obesity, lack of exercise, lack of UV rays, low vitamin D, a diet heavy on processed foods and low on nutrients from plants, stress, and not enough sleep. Why not educate pwMS, instead of trying to scare and berate them? Why not give venous research a real chance, by working with vascular experts? Seriously. Why not give hope by empowering people? Oh, right. No money in that. Hang in there, Canada. Thanks, Anne. Joan http://www.macleans.ca/society/health/could-canada-cause-multiple-sclerosis/
