"CCSVI – What Do We Need to Learn About the Vascular Component of Multiple Sclerosis?"

In October 2011,  CCSVI Alliance hosted an educational evening in Las Vegas, as a satellite event at the VIVA conference.  The multidisciplinary panel included Dr. Michael Dake, Dr. Manish Mehta, Dr. Raymond Sheehan, Dr. John Oh, and David Utriainen, an imaging specialist.  We were pleased to see many from the local MS patient community in the audience, learning about this new vascular syndrome related to MS.

The panel addressed a variety of topics related to CCSVI including recent research, the role of iron and blood flow, and the perspectives of patients and doctors.  There was also a substantial Q&A period.  We have broken the evening's presentations into the four following videos:

"Bridging the Gap between Patients and Doctors" by Dr. Raymond Shaheen

"CCSVI Research" presented by Dr. Manish Mehta

"Iron & Blood Flow" presented by David Utriainen

Q&A with panelists Dr. Michael Dake, Dr. Manish Mehta, Dr. John Oh, Dr. Raymond Shaheen and David Utriainen

We hope you find these videos informational.  Please share the link with other pwMS, doctors, researchers and those you hope to involve in the dialogue.  Thank you for your support of the Alliance, and helping us bring the discussion to local communities.
