Wow, it's done, it was easy peasy as my kids say.  What a fabulous experience!...  and because of CCSVI locator I had the pleasure to meet Laurie Leech who was booked in with the same surgeon right after me. What a wonderful person, and Laurie, I haven't taken off my bracelet yet!

Day of procedure - my RN was Scott, he was fabulous.  Explained everything and was very honest - his main point: :don't have huge expectations because they just don't now, if things happen it will probably take 2 weeks

  :don't change anything you're on

  :keep a daily log

:don't lift anything heavy for a couple of weeks

  :see a physio

after the procedure, which was painfree and I didn't even feel the drugs, but I guess they worked because I didn't feel anything.  I went to the hotel, had a rest in which I slept so heavy I thought I was gone for 12 hours only to find out that I had only been asleep for 2 -

Follow-up, everything was flowing fine, told to followup with Sandy MacDonald in Barrie as they work quite closely with him.  They are going to phone 2 weeks and 1 month post procedure.

My Results: Dave and I expected nothing or very little as I am now SP and have had MS for 17 years. On the Drive back to Toronto, Dave asked after 6 hours - Did you take a mirapex? no...that is the first time in 10 years I sat in a car without restless legs, and no drugs.  Then it became night, Dave asked if I was O.K. with the on coming lights as I am very light sensitive. "They are beautiful"  in fact all colours are brighter and edges of objects are sharper.  Then, "do you need to stop?" no, I have had to go to the washroom for 2 hours, but I am fine - drive on.  We made it all the way back to Whitby, Dave stopped for gas and I casually walked in to the washroom, no urgency.  This again is a first in about 6 years.

At home the miracle continues.  I am walking better, sleeping better, seeing better and have amazing balance. and as my little girl Sydney wished for -"I Can Jump"!!! this is something I did not think I would experience again in my lifetime.  If I should wake up tomorrow and be my old MS self again, I would smile and say "thanks for the ride", to experience normality again, even for 3 days is more than I could have ever wished for or dreamed of. It is my wish that all who desire and are candidates, by able to try, try and hope. We have nothing to lose.

Thanks to all who made this miracle happen, I love you and god bless xoxo
