I am a sports fan, and I also played the games.  football, basketball, baseball and racquetball to name some of the sports I played.  The two I will focus on are football and racquetball.

Recently several articles have been published about head  injuries and football.  Long term effects are devistating.  Dementia, memory loss and movement issues are among the problems these players are facing.

These symptoms sound familiar.  i have not heard multiple sclerosis mentioned.

Speaking personally, I played football in middle and high school.  I played line so the impacts were constant and hard to my head.   I did wear a helmet, but studies show how little help the helmets were.

Racquetball will be included because of how I played: like a football lineman.  I slid on the court and hit the wall several times with my head.  I tried to make up for a lack of athletic ability with over entusiactic efforts.

I hit the ball very hard and was abusive to my body and never thought any more.

Constant press drumbeats about head injuries and athletes made me ask a question.

And I once had a ceiling fan drop on my head.

Am I alone with head issues like concussions/head issues?
