Just a note to let you know that you both have supporters of which I am one.
I completely empathize with your plight as I am in a very similar situation. I hope events begin to move at a quicker rate than they have been doing thus far. I want you to know that I am doing what I can to keep the topic of treatment for ccsvi in the consciousness of  those people in the decision making positions of our government.

I have just sent this letter to Maureen MacDonald and back in October I  sent a similar letter to Stephen Harper, Darell Dexter, Gilles Duceppe,  Jack Layton, Elizabet May and Megan Leslie.

Maureen MacDonald
Nova Scotia Minister of Health
As someone who was diagnosed with MS only five years ago I quickly moved from the Relapsing Remitting form of the disease to Secondary Progressive. Where once I ran my own business I was forced to close the doors due to the cumulative affects of symptoms and soon became no longer able to cover my bills or provide for my family.

My only form of income has become a meager disability pension of $700.00 a month, on which I am barely able to survive.

I am on lists for treatment in both Poland and the U.S. however the cost of treatment in either case would virtually eliminate my RRSP’s and further incur an insurmountable end of the year tax penalty. Incidentally the annual cost of my ineffectual injections, paid for by MSI, would more than cover the cost of the “Liberation Treatment”.

The vast majority of people with MS could be given relief with a safe venoplasty procedure, which lasts barely an hour and has been in use for thirty years. This procedure has given many thousands of MS sufferer’s safe and dramatic relief from the nightmare of their daily symptoms.

Prove yourself to be a guardian of the publics’ well being, take a bold step and do the right thing, develop the legislation that will have a positive affect on many peoples’ lives. The rest of the world will catch up but why should we suffer till then.

Sincerely Dean Brousseau
