Patricia A. Wilkinson

Mother of Campbell Wilkinson

After months of research into Dr. Zamboni’s procedure for M.S. we finally contacted World Med Assist and were told we could have the operation within days of our calling. With Poland having a year and six month waiting period and India costing twice as much and twice as long there was no contest. We were booked and on our way within two weeks of our first call, with the help of Jean Degusman, our contact, who nursed us through the many steps we had to take.

The contract we agreed to was for 5 nights at the Hotel Meson de la Luna, directly across the road from the Hospital Star Medica, with no extra cost for the person caring for the patient, pre-testing i.e. blood test – MRI – dobbler – examination by Dr. Mendoza and Dr. Solis. Surgery on one vein. We paid our air fare and our meal while in Mexico. We were told they would do an extensive testing on all Campbell’s veins and if they found more than one, would we want to have them cleaned at extra cost. We wanted the job to be done completely and agreed to pay for extra surgery. Campbell had three extra veins cleaned with extra time in surgery and three extra angioplasty operations we paid an extra $2000.00.

I am so impressed with the Doctors in Star Medica Hospital, They are so incredibly hard working and dedicated to their work. Their caring goes way beyond any attention I’ve seen in the past. A normal operation would take about one and a half hours – Campbell’s took up to six hours and they all hung around for at least another hour before going home at 10:30pm, and back in at 7am in the morning.

They are the DREAM TEAM headed up by a wonderful caring woman with a heart as big as a lion, Dr. Solis.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving my son his life back,

Sincerely

Patricia A. Wilkinson
