I did some thinking about positive results from CCSVI.  The conversations I have had are true, and everything is different for each patient.

Some of the benefits of CCSVI can be obvious.  The patient may walk better.   Improved speech can be found.  Recovered ability to use fingers.

Some changes are more hidden to all but the patient.  Cognitive improvements are not obvious to the outsider.  Increased ability to have better bladder/bowel control is not something that we may talk about during parties, but the enhancement to quality of life is immeasurable.

I have written in the past about some things that are uncomfortable.  I discussed falling, medication’s side effects and bladder bowel.   These are not easy to talk about.

Today I want to talk about intimacy.  Not the actual act, but specifically erectile dysfunction and difficulty to climax.

I was talking to a friend and somehow we discussed this issue.  Nothing specific about us, but a general friendly, intimate, well this is better.  (You would be shocked at the discussions I have with friends.  And MS friends have very deep conversations.)

We both agreed that our intimacy has improved.  Not greatly, but surprisingly.  One of the side benefits of CCSVI I was hoping to ask.

Are we alone?  Do other people have this quiet side effect that is unexpected and never discussed?

Thank you.
