The CCSVI Alliance Roundtable Discussion on March 29th 6:30-9pm  in Chicago will include panelist,


Dr. Avertano Noronha, Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Chicago



Avertano Noronha, MD, provides skilled care for patients with neurological conditions. He has particular interests in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS), autoimmune diseases, inherited neurological conditions, neurological complications of pregnancy, and neurological problems associated with medical disorders. He also provides expert second opinions for complex neurological disease.


Additionally, Dr. Noronha conducts basic and clinical research. His studies focus on understanding immune mechanisms in multiple sclerosis. He also leads clinical investigations testing the safety and efficacy of newly developed drugs for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, and how these therapies affect the immune system.


Dr. Noronha is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. He lectures regularly on neuroimmunology and neurological diseases. He is also the creator and instructor of "Workings of the Human Brain," a neuroscience course at the University of Chicago.


Dr. Noronha often speaks at national and international conferences on multiple sclerosis and other topics in neurology. He is also an ad hoc reviewer for several scientific journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Immunology, and Neurology.
