MS is like a fingerprint.  Everyone's condition is unique.  No two patients are alike.

This statement is frustrating. MS does not offer "stages."  The relapsing remitting moves to progressive.  No way to know when or how we get worse.  Everyday the roller coaster ride is uncharted.

CCSVI plays into this because the procedure can help most patients with MS.  How much?  No one can tell.

Let us say to each other what CCSVI is.  CCSVI is a procedure that offers improvement.  I have been speaking to marketing people who stress that the procedure is NOT a cure.  I have spoken to people with MS who expect to walk out of the hospital free of all MS related problems.

And patients who expect a cure will be disappointed.

CCSVI is the tip of the iceberg of MS.  It is logical that if blood flow is restricted to an organ, other organs may suffer.

Imagine a garden hose.  If the hose is crimped and flow is restricted, the water backs up and can harm the plumbing.  When the crimp is released, the water flows and soon gets back to normal.  Our bodies are not lawns, but we need proper flow.

I feel that CCSVI is the begenning of the solution for MS. The procedure is a step.  Just one step, but all things start with a step.

We are all on a journey that has been full of downs.  The diagnosis.  The sysmptoms.  Relationship issues with partners and families.  Work is now challenging at best, and impossible at worst.

But we are fighting.  Fighting to improve.  Everyday offers some glimmer that things can get better.  We all are working to get better and praying for a miracle.

"God Helps Those Who Help Themselves." Psalms 37:3

And we are fighting to help ourselves improve.  We all want to get better and find new techniques.

We will get better.  You just gotta understand what is, and believe in what can be.

Power to the People.

Power to the Cure.

God bless all of us.
