Over the last few months I have written letters to B.C.'s "new" Minister of Health,   the Proviince's Medical Services Commission,   the Canadian Medical Association.    The responses I get are all so similar I sometimes think there's a centralized department that gets all the letters and then sends out replies pretending they are from the person I wrote !!

Examples  -  the B.C. Medical Services Commission: "the MSC relies on the advice of medical professionals and research conducted by provincial and international experts"

                  - the B.C. Minister of Health:   "people with MS should not rush to seek this surgical procedure until the proper clinical studies have been conducted"

                   - the Canadian Medical Association:  "...in looking forward to a future in which effective evidence-based therapy is readily available".

No matter that the auto-immune theory is unproven,  no matter that current drug therapies only treat some symptoms,  no matter that once progressive tthere is no treatment for M.S.

I'm just blowing off steam for which I apologize but like it says  -  it's like hitting a brick wall.   Anyone give me some hope ?

Thanks,  Malcolm.
