Just like MS and CCSVI your doctor probably knows little about Lyme, testing or treating.

Many Lyme patients were first diagnosed with other illnesses such as Juvenile Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis, Infectious Arthritis, Osteoarthritis,  Fibromyalgia Raynaud's Syndrome,  Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Interstitial Cystis, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Fifth Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, scleroderma, lupus, early ALS, early Alzheimers Disease, Crohn's Disease, ménières syndrome, reynaud's syndrome, sjogren's syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, prostatitis, psychiatric disorders (bipolar, depression, etc.), encephalitis, sleep disorders, thyroid disease and various other illnesses. 



  1. Rash at site of bite

  2. Rashes on other parts of your body

  3. Rash basically circular, oval and spreading out (more generalized)

  4.  Raised Rash disappearing and recurring: BTW 50% of patients never saw the rash.




  • Head, Face, Neck




  1. Unexplained hair loss

  2. Headache, mild or severe, Seizures

  3. Pressure in head, white matter lesions in brain (MRI)

  4. Twitching of facial or other muscles

  5. Facial paralysis (Bell's Palsy)

  6. Tingling of nose, (tip of) tongue, cheek or facial flushing

  7. Stiff or painful neck

  8. Jaw pain or stiffness

  9. Dental problems (unexplained)

  10. Sore throat, clearing throat a lot, phlegm ( flem ), hoarseness, runny nose




  • Eyes/Vision




  1. Double or blurry vision

  2. Increased floating spots

  3. Pain in eyes, or swelling around eyes

  4. Oversensitivity to light

  5. Flashing lights/Peripheral waves/phantom images in corner of eyes




  • Ears/Hearing




  1. Decreased hearing in one or both ears, plugged ears

  2. Buzzing in ears

  3. Pain in ears, oversensitivity to sounds

  4. Ringing in one or both ears




  • Digestive and Excretory Systems




  1. Diarrhea

  2. Constipation

  3. Irritable bladder (trouble starting, stopping) or Interstitial cystitis

  4. Upset stomach (nausea or pain) or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)




  • Musculoskeletal System




  1. Bone pain, joint pain or swelling, carpal tunnel syndrome

  2. Stiffness of joints, back, neck, tennis elbow

  3. Muscle pain or cramps,  Fibromyalgia.

  1. Shortness of breath, can't get full/satisfying breath, cough

  4. Going to the wrong place

  • Reproduction and Sexuality




  1. Loss of sex drive

  2. Sexual dysfunction

  3. Unexplained menstrual pain, irregularity

  4. Unexplained breast pain, discharge

  5. Testicular or pelvic pain




  • General Well-being




  1. Phantom smells

  2. Unexplained weight gain, loss

  3. Extreme fatigue

  4. Swollen glands/lymph nodes

  5. Unexplained fevers (high or low grade)

  6. Continual infections (sinus, kidney, eye, etc.)

  7. Symptoms seem to change, come and go

  8. Pain migrates (moves) to different body parts
