I am writing to you on what would have been the 29th birthday of the son of a good friend. She discovered your movie 3 years after losing her son and the day after her husband was diagnosed for the second time, with Basel cell carcinoma. It was a bittersweet find for her, in more ways than one.

You see, my friend and I, and several other friends, also suffer from Multiple Sclerosis and a condition discovered by an Italian Doctor, Dr. Paulo Zamboni, called CCSVI (Chronic Cerebral Spinal Venous Insufficiency). He is a vascular surgeon, who out of love and dedication to his wife who also suffers from MS, re-examined an old vascular theory for the cause and effect of Multiple Sclerosis. What he discovered was that the vascular theory of MS had been hidden for decades and had been replaced by the auto immune theory. Until now there have been no effective treatments for MS. A simple, safe venoplasty to open blood flow from the brain has given immense relief to many of us. To date there have been between 14 - 16,000 people treated around the world.

The persecution Dr. Burzyinski has suffered over the years parallels the hurdles that Dr. Zamboni, and Dr. Schelling before him, have had to deal with in bringing this theory and treatment to light. So far they have only been spared the legal persecution Dr. Burzynski suffered, likely because they are in Europe and not North America. This treatment threatens a huge profitable drug industry that has failed to provide any safe effective treatment for Multiple Sclerosis.

A CTV news reporter, Avis Favaro, broke this story to Canada in November of 2009. She had been approached by a woman who discovered Dr. Zamboni's theory of treatment, while searching for answers to her own husband's struggle with MS. My friends and I are hoping to interest you in investigating Dr. Zamboni's story to bring the corruption and harassment of the drug industry, and entrenched medical views to the public's attention. This is a story born out of a man's love for his wife, and a groundbreaking medical discovery that has given us hope for the first time. It is also bigger than just a Canadian or American story, but one with world wide ramifications that deserves global exposure.

I could bury you in links to peer reviewed papers and time lines. But, the best suggestion I can give you for an excellent place to start is to refer you to a book written by a nurse, Marie A. Rhodes, who was also treated for CCSVI. It is an easy read with all the time lines and scientific explanations necessary to understand CCSVI. The book is called CCSVI as the Cause of MS. It also contains links to peer reviewed papers, internet links to patient forums. Please take some time to investigate our story and search your heart to see if you can help us inform the world about what is happening not only to us, but again to doctors like Dr. Burzyinski who only want to save lives and quality of life.

my sincerest thanks for attention to this vital issue
